Estimated Average Glucose (eAG) Chart for Diabetic
Estimated Average Glucose(eAG) is the latest method of knowing how good your management of diabetes is. You may wonder what connection it has with A1C.
If you are a diabetic, you probably know how the A1C test can inform you of your average blood sugar during the last 2 – 3 months. A1C readings are given as a percentage. Now, the new estimated average glucose has the same measurement as that used for glucose meters, which is mg/dL, instead of percent, to give an A1C result.
Why Use eAG?
Using eAG may help you get a better idea of how well you are taking care of your diabetes. And that can help you and your health care provider know what changes you may need to make to be as healthy as possible.
